Welcome to Plainfield
For the past 12 years, Family Promise Union County has operated out of First Baptist Church in Elizabeth. In the summer of 2021, Hurricane Ida brought severe flooding that destroyed equipment and supplies and rendered our offices unusable. Despite the damage, we quickly set up a makeshift workspace in another area of the church building and continued operations without interruption. With the demand in services, we needed to find a space better suited to deliver our programs.
